Accent Inns Company Background

It all started when...

It started in 1986  when Terry Farmer opened a modest motor inn on Blanshard Street in Victoria, BC. Accent Inns has grown to be an award-winning, family-owned, British Columbian hotel chain with five properties in Victoria, Vancouver (airport), Burnaby, Kamloops and Kelowna. Today the operations are managed by Mandy Farmer (Terry’s daughter) the President of Accent Inns Inc and Terry Farmer has the role of Founder and Chairman of the Board.

Originally called the Stay ’n Save Motor Inn, the chain quickly expanded and in 2000 changed its name to Accent Inns. The hotels are known for a strong sense of family and pride among the management and staff, with strong employee morale and some of the highest staff retention rates in the business. Increased efficiency and consistent service are a testament to the company’s inclusive management style.
